About UsThe concept for Sound Healthcare was developed in 2006 through a collaboration between RJ Stillwell, Tatum Hauck and the Country Music Association to bring access to affordable health insurance for our creative music community. Vanderbilt University Medical Center was also instrumental in the initial success of this program by reducing co-insurance expenses to music industry professionals. Special acknowledgement should also be given to Kix Brooks for his ideas and inspiration; Bil VornDick for his passion for music advocacy and introducing RJ and Tatum; Dr. C. Wright Pinson for his support of the Sound Healthcare initiative; Bev Coccia for fighting and believing in the vision; Tammy Genovese, Hank Adam Locklin and Betsy Walker at CMA for opening these doors for the greater good. Today Sound Healthcare serves the entire music industry nationally. |

RJ entered the health insurance industry 14 years ago after a 15- year career in the music industry that encompassed performance (both touring and studio musician), production, artist management and music publishing, where he established co-publishing agreements with eight #1 songwriters, including two Grammy Award winners. In 2006, RJ architected a health insurance program for the Country Music Association which became CMA Sound Healthcare, a first for the music industry. In 2008, Tatum Hauck joined RJ as a partner to create Sound Healthcare, building a unique insurance advocacy model for the greater good of the music industry at large. |
